Earth loops are a common problem. Once again, because the DMX input and output are isolated from each other in the QBuffer, earth loops cannot occur.

Getting the pin-outs wrong when soldering a plug to a cable will result in overloading and signal reflection. Such a problem can’t get past a QBuffer and is therefore localised.

Should you happen to be lighting something the size of a football stadium, the QBuffer will amplify the DMX signal, ensuring that the last device in the chain is as responsive as the first.
